New Zealand's South Island has vast tracts of wild unpopulated high country just waiting to be explored. 4WD Expeditions provide professional guided tours into these regions with top class 4WD tracks, scenery, land forms, history, personalities and friendship.

Our single day tours generally operate out of the Southern Lakes Queenstown region.

All our tours are designed for drivers with limited 4wd experience. We gradually increase the difficulty of the terrain but you are always in constant sight and communication your guide via radio.

Private Passenger Tours

We drive, you sit back and enjoy

 

We operate forward facing late model Nissan Patrols and Toyota Landcruisers for our passenger tours. These tours are a great way to escape the town and get into the real southern landscape without having to worry about driving. Offering full and ½ day tours or charter tours we can show you areas like Queenstowns amazing Skippers Canyon, or perhaps get more secluded and explore a genuine high country sheep station. Snacks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate is included in half day tours. Lunch can be tailored to your requirements, generally a selection of mouth watering fresh produce, bakery items etc..
