4WD Expeditions was started by Del Rayis. Del is passionate about the outdoors, four wheel driving  and the high country of the South Island. Having lived, worked and played all over the South Island, Del now offers you the opportunity to come and experience its wonders on a four wheel drive expedition.

 

Del is fully licensed and accredited with NZTA, DOC and WorkSafe NZ. Del is a certified 4WD Tag-Along technical expert contracting to WorkSafe NZ Adventure Activities Regulations audit providers.

Del

 

Del has a long history of outdoor exploration and has been a commercial 4WD driver/guide for the last 26 years, guiding literally thousands into the South Island high country. His 4WD experiences have led him to develop a broad and in-depth knowledge of health and safety around 4WD commercial operations. While Del's cooking is somewhat inconsistent, he has proven himself to be an excellent teller of tall tales to guests. He is passionate about photography and videography and has a well honed artistic eye for stunning spots and shots.
